What vitamin C does is shortening the duration and reducing the severity of the symptoms. It is recommended to use vitamin C supplements, but doing so will not directly prevent coronavirus infection, and will definitely not make you immune against the disease.
Vitamin C has an important role in the immune function, and it is a powerful antioxidant. As such, it should be included in your diet, and there’s nothing wrong about using supplements. However, a large dose is not giving you much advantage to become infected, and it is not a cure, either.
