4) Poor Sleep
Due to discomfort and irritability is a frequent complaint, especially from patients with acute otitis media. Lack of sleep drives patients to be more anxious and ask for immediate relief. Patients who get treated surgically by draining the accumulated fluid in the middle ear, are found to get significantly relieved which leads them to fall asleep deeply afterward.
