4. Bleeding
Multiple myeloma is a proliferation of plasma cells. But they take the space and the resources of other cell lines, reducing their numbers. Bleeding occurs when platelets are severely reduced as a complication of multiple myeloma. In some cases, it is the monoclonal protein that inhibits the action of clotting factors, too. So, we can have bleeding with or without thrombocytopenia.
